WHO ARE WE?

 Situated on 20 beautiful acres and a shared border with the Withlacoochee State Forest, Grand Oak Ranch offers a beautiful picturesque landscape for all types of events or your vacation or a weekend retreat, where you can rest and relax! Grand Oak Ranch is one of the few Dude Ranches in Florida.  Known to some as the former Tampa Equestrian Center, Grand Oak Ranch has been literally transformed with a lot of hard work, time and money.  Grand Oak Ranch has been undergoing extensive renovations for the past two years.   

 The current owners bought the farm in 2005 with hopes of running premier equine events as well as corporate events, weddings, summer camps, horse trails, clinics, trail ride clubs and games.  We are open to anything and have even had interest from dog clubs and breed associations.  Several weekends ago we hosted a Chamber of Commerce outing with a western theme.  Basically, if you can dream it, we will make it happen. 

 The property boasts 3 large enclosed riding rings, the largest one has lights.  All three rings have a different type of footing to accommodate the many different events that we hold.  Each ring has a covered judges stand overlooking the rings. We have a state of the art sound system that is easily heard from anywhere on the property. 

 Our 48-seat, climate controlled dining hall, has been remodeled and features a commercial kitchen and indoor bathrooms.  It has a gorgeous wrap around porch complete with rocking chairs to enjoy the cool breeze and to take in the views.   

 Next to the dining hall is the Grand Oak Pavilion, which happens to be situated next to the main Grand Oak Ring.  The pavilion allows exhibitors and spectators to enjoy the view of the events in the main ring in comfort.  The pavilion accommodates up to 150 people comfortably.  The pavilion is covered, providing plenty of shade with open sides to allow the cool breeze to flow through.

 Grand Oak has an eleven-room bunkhouse that can accommodate 2-4 people per room.  The bunkhouse has been totally remodeled and outfitted and overlooks the in-ground pool and the rest of the facility.  The bunkhouse is handicapped equipped, as is everything on the property.  The bunkhouse will be available for horse show patrons to rent, as well as people on vacation with or without their horses.  We offer primitive camping sights to those that rather camp near their horses.

 Grand Oak Ranch has 110 permanent horse stalls.  All four barns offer sturdy construction as well as water and electric in each barn.  Wash stalls have been added as a convenience to our exhibitors.

  We offer jumps for rent, as well as a ring drag and water truck.  We want to make things as easy and convenient as we can for a competitive price.  Next on our list of things to do  is landscaping.  We want it to have a natural feel.

 Our Facilities Manager, Jennifer Buck, has 29 years experience in the equine business.  Jennifer has competed in USEF rated events, trained hundreds of riders, planned and executed all types of equine events and is currently working on her USEF judges “r” card.  Jennifer currently possesses her learner’s permit and hopes to complete her card this year.  Jennifer has also taught Equine Facilities Management at a college in Maryland.  While Jennifer is new to Florida she is an old fixture on the horse scene and will be sure to attend to your every need.  If you are looking for a venue to hold your next event, call Jennifer at Grand Oak, we will be happy to give you a tour and help you plan your next successful event.
